Greek Lemon Oil Dressing for Fish (Latholemono/ Λαδολέμονο)

SHARE THIS RECIPE.

A traditional lemon oil dressing that is fresh, zingy and elevates any fish dish. Made with 3 simple ingredients, fresh lemon juice, good quality extra virgin olive oil and oregano are whizzed in a blender or food processor until opaque and creamy.

Best served with white fish or salmon that is pan fried, grilled, oven baked or over a BBQ.

INGREDIENTS.

  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice, freshly squeezed

  • 3 Tbsp Greek extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 tsp dried Greek oregano

METHOD.

  1. Add all the ingredients into a blender and pulse until combined. It should be a cloudy pale yellow colour.

  2. It can be poured over cooked fish and equally raw fish before cooking.

SERVE THIS WITH.

Greek extra virgin olive oil - specifically Greek oil, has the lowest acidity (approximately 0.5%) and is packed with essential vitamins and minerals. Benefits may include anti-inflammatory properties, lowering cholesterol and blood pressure and improves bone calcification. (Source)
